Regarding push-mail: I am using POP3, not IMAP, but isn´t there an option to "check for new mail every." for IMAP too? You could set this to 1 min., so you lose max. what do you expect? You even can tag emails now and use the tag-explorer. ![]() I can say, EPIM is as reliable as Thunderbird now, all emails are sent and received without loss, which is most important (there were times, when I got emails in Thunderbird, but not in EPIM- but that´s the past). For me there are some properties, which make EPIM superior to Thunderbird: A small program, with a single, portable, secure database- which is perfect for portability and backup. Thunderbird price Has a free version, when comparing Thunderbird to their competitors, the software is rated 2 - much lower than the average Office & Admin software cost. You´re right, EPIM was not the best choice for a email program, but it got better and better, and now, many versions later, I would dare to use EPIM without Thunderbird, as standard for emails. Opera Mail price Has a free version, on a scale between 1 to 10 Opera Mail is rated 4, which is lower than the average cost of Office & Admin software. I use Thunderbird for many, many years now, and for some years EPIM in parallel.
